GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (GDP)

1. GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – METALLURGY (GDP-MTL01)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Metallurgy) Department and reports directly to Plant Metallurgist.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Metallurgy is to monitor and report on all aspects of plant performance. A graduate will need time to learn more about mineral processing and another aspect which relate to production in processing plants. In the end, technical and operational support to the Operations Team to ensure that all metallurgical parameters and control strategies in the process plant are achieving design target parameters is the main expectation. Support the data entry clerk to complete timely metallurgy reports including the daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Assist development of technicians within the metallurgical laboratory and in the processing plant for the daily activities or survey campaign to monitor the plant performance. Bullion weighing in the gold room and shipment arrangement will also be responsible, for managing the shipment date work with the refinery fitting the schedule, execution of shipment from site to the refinery, and other task related to shipments. This position is to develop new graduates in the mineral processing industry and improve technical skills that will support the metallurgy team. This position will develop their skill to become a Plant Metallurgist.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in either Metallurgy or Mineral Processing.
  • Good knowledge of production metallurgical roles within the resource sector.
  • Good knowledge of CIL/CIP gold processing.
  • Very good verbal and written English language skills.
  • Knowledge of the methods, tools raw materials, and technology used in the metallurgical processing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
  • Ability to manage the work of metallurgical technicians on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ability to understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.
  • An understanding of the production flow sheet of a CIL Process Plant.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Internet.

2. GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE (GDP-MNT01)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department and reports directly to Coordinator – Mechanical Engineering.

  • Perform basic engineering calculations, designs and drawings for in-house projects
  • Change Management System used in projects
  • Scopes of work, tender packages, selection of design standards, tender evaluations and project management tools as directed by the Senior Project Engineer to ensure that the Company is financially and legally protected while achieving optimal value on project expenditure
  • Project expenditures are fully accounted for and comply fully with the Company’s quoting and purchasing rules
  • Designs for all projects comply with recognised International Standards, specific Indonesian standards or mining regulations
  • New projects and plant upgrades maintain a high degree of alignment and compatibility with existing plant equipment and spares were practical.
  • Project QA/QC activities in line with engineering specifications and ensure they are implemented and recorded to suit each project QA/QC needs
  • Report project costs and progress status, including cost overruns, savings, variations, schedule changes and project-specific information to key stakeholders regularly.
  • Report project Key Performance Indicators and the implementation of appropriate changes to maintenance regimes, safety, reliability and capability improvements resulting from projects
  • Ensure all changes resulting from projects are updated in the relevant systems, including drawings, maintenance management system, inventory and document management system.
  • Inventory system and maintenance program of critical equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance Strategy and Reliability services in CMMS (Pronto)
  • Reliability activity, records, measurements, samples, photos and benchmarking data is correctly interpreted, stored, modelled and communicated to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Critical equipment is inspected with an appropriate condition monitoring technique after any major maintenance or modification has been completed.
  • Operational Performance Gains obtained from the application of reliability and condition monitoring programs are recorded, monitored and reported.
  • Equipment Maintenance Plans & PM type, frequency and schedule align with reliability and condition monitoring programs
  • Manage and document the condition monitoring equipment and programme, using overall site vibration levels as a measure of success.
  • Run routine defect elimination meetings as outlined by the Coordinator of Reliability Engineering.
  • Effective communication and a close working relationship with the maintenance planning, mechanical execution, electrical execution and process control team to ensure the rapid and accurate transfer of any condition monitoring information that has the potential to affect the safe and effective operation of the plant.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Recognised Engineering Degree in Mechanical from a reputable University in Indonesia or Overseas.
  • 0 – 2 years related experience in similar engineering roles within the mining, oil and gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
  • Ability to interpret basic technical/mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Reasonable English language verbal & written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet.
  • Possess a valid recognised Driver’s licence preferable.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
  • Pays a high level of attention to standard and detail.
  • Highly motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.

3. GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM – MINE GEOLOGY (GDP-MG02)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Mine Geology Department, and reports directly to Mine Geologist.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Mine Geology is to be involved in developing geology in the mining area and daily grade control activities. Providing proper geological field data to be incorporated with the ore block design, and also assisting the geologist in all technical purposes, under close supervision.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Geology from a recognized university with GPA >3.0.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome, preferably have experience <2 years in mine geology or mineral exploration.
  • Preferably have Geology and or additional technical course.
  • Willing to work hard in field job base and trainable.
  • Strong computer skills, having a good knowledge of 3D modelling and/or Microsoft Apps and/or Power Bi Software will be an advantage.
  • Good communication and reporting in English, with preferably having TOEFL min 400.
  • Preferably have a driver’s licence.
  • Willing to work onsite base with a roster of 4 weeks on – 2 weeks off.

4. GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM– MINE ENGINEERING (GDP-MIN01)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Mining Department and reports directly to Engineer – Short Term Planning and Long Term Mine Planning.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Mine Engineering is to:

  • Support Mine Engineering to create daily mine planning and deliver to mine contractor, continuously to review mine performance and daily reporting.
  • Support Drill and Blast to create daily planning and deliver to mine contractor, continuously review mine performance and daily reporting.
  • Support Mine Operations to monitor day-to-day mine operations to comply with the mine planning.
  • Support Mine Engineering to deliver and provide the data to create weekly mine planning and deliver to mine contractor, weekly review mine performance and weekly reporting.
  • Support Drill and Blast to deliver and provide the data to create weekly mine planning and deliver to mine contractor, weekly review mine performance and weekly reporting.
  • Support Engineer updating all production data required to analyze and improve.
  • Collecting data from the field needed for benchmarking and to generating daily plans and weekly plan.
  • Support to ensure good mining practices are implemented in daily and weekly mining activity.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering; Master degree in Mining would be preferably.
  • Indonesian citizen, Bachelor’s Degree at age 18 – 25 years old for Master’s Degree/Post Graduate degree at age 24 – 28 years old, when enrolled.
  • Academic grade at the minimum of GPA 3.0.
  • Active in organization either academic or non-academic.
  • Computer literate such as MSWord, Excel, and Power Point.
  • English proficiency (supported with proper documenVcertificate e. g. , TOEFL: 400 atau IELTS: 4.0).

5. GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM– ELECTRICAL (GDP-MNT02)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department, and reports directly to Senior Engineer – Electrical and Reliability.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Electrical is aimed to educate, train and prepare a fresh graduate who will be developed to become a professional engineer in the field of electrical reliability and/or electrical project to support the Processing Maintenance execution teams in line with operational needs. The development program in this position will involve development in engineering application areas related to mineral processing plant machinery and leadership capabilities.

The main task in this position is to actively learn and apply knowledge and skills in matters including but not limited to:

  • Perform basic engineering calculations, designs, drawings and Schematic for all new electrical and instrumentation installations/projects.
  • Develop SOP, scope of works, design standards selection of instrumentation and control system maintenance.
  • Engineering and performance aspects of the High Voltage Power Reticulation Systems.
  • Ensure to comply with the Company ‘Health, Safety, Environmental’ and ‘Security’ policies and procedures.
  • Change Management System used in projects.
  • Scopes of work, tender packages, selection of design standards, tender evaluations and project management tools as directed by the Senior Project Engineer to ensure that the Company is financially and legally protected while achieving optimal value on project expenditure.

6. GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM– MAINTENANCE PLANNING (GDP-MNT03)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department and reports directly to Supervisor – Maintenance Planning.

The role of the Graduate Development Program – Maintenance Planning is aimed to educate, train and prepare a fresh graduate who will be developed to become a professional maintenance planner and scheduler of fixed processing plant equipment from the mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process logic control side to support the Processing Maintenance execution teams in line with operational needs. The development program in this position will involve development in work and resources management related to mineral processing plant maintenance management and leadership capabilities.

The main task in this position is to actively learn and apply knowledge and skills in matters including but not limited to:

  • Inventory system and maintenance program of critical equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of maintenance planning, scheduling and reporting to support the Processing Plant Shutdown Maintenance program.
  • Short-term and long-term shutdown planning framework.
  • Work orders and requisitions (materials, equipment, and services) in Pronto. Confirm that parts, specialized tools, equipment, and labour are available before releasing work orders.
  • Accurate scoping of work is achieved by having the Planning team in the field with Maintenance Supervisors scoping work.
  • Provide quality work packs to the Maintenance personnel for all routine maintenance and shutdown maintenance activities to support efficient and effective work execution.
  • Ensure detailed work completion information from the Maintenance Supervisors and resolve any issues as required.
  • Bills of Materials for all plants are accurate and updated as required
  • Integrating the condition-monitoring program into maintenance systems.
  • Continual review and management of outstanding work, backlog, weekly work schedules and failure history.
  • Compliance with all statutory codes, acts, and regulations from a maintenance perspective to protect the employees and equipment from possible litigation, damage or injury.
  • Maintenance costing, Operational Expenditures and Capital Expenditures budgets.
  • Document work management practices as required.
  • Preventative Maintenance Strategy and Reliability services in CMMS (Pronto)
  • Equipment Maintenance Plans & PM type, frequency and schedule align with reliability and condition monitoring programs
  • Effective communication and a close working relationship with the engineering, mechanical execution, electrical execution, metallurgy and process operation team to align maintenance planning and scheduling with operational conditions.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • Recognised Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical from a reputable University in Indonesia or Overseas
  • 0 – 2 years related experience in similar maintenance planning scheduling roles within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.
